With over 260 individual Indexes, the Speedwell Commodity Product monitors weather variables (precipitation, temperature, frost…) for over 25 crops in over 45 countries. This product is a platform designed to bring weather data and forecasts directly to the trader in a concise format for a wide range of global agricultural crop / areas.
Monitored variables including cumulative rainfall, growing degree days, heat-stress and frosts are constantly updated using the current weather observations and the latest ECMWF and GFS forecast models. Drill-down allows all components to be viewed in detail.
The crop/country indices are based upon regional baskets of weather observing sites to provide most accurate ground truth, coupled with the very latest forecast trends, giving the user both an overview of the region and tools to analyse the data down to station level.
