T-storm Weather is a Chicago-based subscription service that forecasts and analyzes weather and yields to help buyers and sellers of grain and oilseed futures manage risk.

More specifically, we forecast and analyze weather that is important to corn, soybeans, sunflowers, wheat, and / or cattle in the United States and South America. We also follow weather in other important areas of the world, such as Australia, China, Europe, and Russia. Beyond weather forecasting, YieldCast® forecasts the yield of the U.S. corn and soybean crop on a weekly basis throughout the growing season.

Mike Tannura founded T-storm Weather in 2006. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Iowa State University (1998), and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2007), which included the completion of his thesis titled “Weather, Corn and Soybean Yields, and Technology in the U.S. Corn Belt”. His accurate weather forecasting and ability to convey complex issues in simple but valuable terms is widely considered among the best in the grain futures market.
